To be fair, I think most people are better than me at being alive. Butler's first book, Dawn, in her Xenogenesis series, renamed Lilith's Brood. I am reading the Xenogenesis series and I loved the first book (Dawn) and its examination of humanity and different cultures and how "saving" the human race has many drawbacks.
